what to do with leftover sock yarn

Here's what I do with leftover sock yarn. I throw them all together into one crazy sock and make an unmatched pair. Sometimes I might make the heels/ribs/toes the same, just for a little something to tie them together. A knitter in Germany did the same thing and she called hers "Frankensteins."

Another name for them is Monstersockens, I liked them so much when I first saw a pair I started a Yahoo group for Monstersockens. Yours are about the nicest I've seen. A URL to go look at more pix.

As a lucky recipient of some of these Frankensteins, you KNOW how much I love them and they wear 4-ever!

I love them!!! I'll definately be doing this with my leftover yarn! I love how you have the yarn in a jar, it's beautiful and an easy way to keep the cats out of it... :)

I have so much left over sock yarn. Another good idea is to separate each color with a couple rows of black. Or do a scarf by doubling your yarns.
I love your socks! You do have quite the bag of leftovers!

I love that shot of your sock yarn balls - it looks like an irresistable jar of sweets!

That is a great idea, with sections of black in between, think I will try that. - Heidi
